How to identify individuals impersonating Altis employees
Published on
June 29, 2023
It’s come to our attention that there are FRAUDULENT messages being sent from someone pretending to be an Altis team member, advertising a job opportunity. These messages are being sent through text, Facebook and most commonly, WhatsApp.
Please know that we take the privacy and security of our candidate and client community very seriously. We haven’t had a data breach to our system; all our candidate and client data is secure. These messages do not come from our company.
Please note that we do NOT use WhatsApp or Facebook to contact candidates.
While we sometimes send text messages to candidates in our network about career opportunities, we will never request personal information (i.e., social insurance number, driver's license etc.) from a job seeker via unsecured online channels like SMS or email. We will only request that the candidate enter this kind of information through our secure job portal. We also would never direct you to a third-party site to enter personal information.
ACTIONS FOR OUR COMMUNITY:
Thank you to everyone who has reported these messages to us. We encourage you to share this information with anyone in your personal network who may find it helpful.
And if you, or someone you know, is looking for work, contact us! We’re committed to connecting top talent to meaningful work in a safe, secure way.
